HOW TO REGISTER AND SET UP YOUR TEACHER OR PARENT ACCOUNT FOR THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL MATH BEE
Before registering for a teacher or parent account, please note that students should only have one account registered for the International Math Bee. Teachers and parents register in the same place! Parents interested in registering their children for the International Math Bee Individual Competition (IMBIC) should follow the same steps as a teacher would.
Please review the steps below.
Register for a teacher/parent account
Set up classrooms and add students
Add students to teams (3-5 students per team)
1. REGISTER FOR A TEACHER/PARENT ACCOUNT
1. GO TO THE REGISTRATION PAGE
2. SCROLL DOWN TO TEACHER REGISTRATION FORM
3. TYPE IN YOUR ZIP CODE
4. SELECT YOUR SCHOOL
6. CHECK THAT THE INFORMATION IS CORRECT
7. CHANGE YOUR COUNTRY IF NECESSARY
8. SCROLL DOWN TO TEACHER INFORMATION AND FILL OUT ALL THE FIELDS
10. CLICK OK
At this point your teacher/parent account is ready to go for adding students!
2. CREATE YOUR CLASSROOMS AND STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Once you are logged in to your teacher/parent account, the welcome screen lists the instructions for adding students.
IMB TEAM-BASED TOURNAMENT
Teachers adding their entire classroom or parents adding 3-5 students in the same grade should follow all four steps.
IMB INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION
Parents adding individual students should follow only the first two steps.
Welcome screen teachers and parents see after logging in to their account.
1. Create your classrooms.
Click on the Classrooms tab. Type in the name of your classroom. Click save. The classroom should show above the Add Classroom form once saved. If the classroom does not save, please log out of your account, log back in and repeat the step.
2. Enter all students in your classroom(s).
You may do this one of two ways. You can add students through a bulk upload or by adding the students one by one.
Bulk upload your students.
Click on the Students tab. Click the orange button, “upload students with csv file.”
Three buttons will appear on the next page.
- Click on “CSV upload instructions to download the instructions.
- Click “Download csv student upload form.” Once the form is completed..move to the last step
- Click “Import students.”
To add students one by one.
Click on the Students tab. Click the green plus sign all the way to the right. The fields will be highlighted in green when they are ready to accept information. Choose the classroom from the dropdown menu you want to assign the student to. Fill in ALL the fields. Click the green plus sign again to save. Once saved, the student will show up below.
If you are having trouble adding your students, click “Instructions for adding and editing students.”
Repeat this step until all your students are added.
Parents registering students for the IMB Individual Competition have completed all the necessary steps once they reach this point. Your student(s) may begin playing Batter Up.
Teachers registering the entire classroom for the Team-Based IMB Tournament should continue to steps 3 and 4.
3. ADD TEAMS
Click on the Teams tab. Type in your team name. Some names my already be taken. Type in the the grade level of the team using numbers (1-6). Click the dropdown menu above the Classroom filed and choose the classroom you want to set up teams for. Click submit.
After clicking Submit, you will be directed to a new screen that says “Successfully added team: team name” and three buttons to choose from. Repeat the Add Students to Teams step until you have added all your teams. Reminder: teams may be formed with THREE TO FIVE STUDENTS MAX!

4. ADD STUDENTS TO TEAMS
1. Select the team that you want to assign students the student to.
3. Select the student username you want to assign to the team.
2. Select the classroom that has the students that you want to add to the team.
4. Select the grade the student is assigned to.
5. Click submit and you will be directed to a page that says, “Success #studentID has been added to #teamname.
Click the button below to Add Another student to the Team. Repeat this step until you have assigned all your students to teams.
Click on the Reports Tab to see all the students who are assigned to the team.
As a general rule, changing students from teams is not allowed. Please see the Official 2021 IMB Rules for more information.
INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM REPORTS
Teachers and parents should use their STUDENT REPORTS tab to view the student’s individual Batting Average or the TEAM REPORTS tab to see the team Batting Averages.
Enhanced reports and automated certificates can be accessed and downloaded by purchasing or enlisting donors or sponsors. We’ve made it super simple to request sponsorship from local businesses in your area through the click of a button on our website!
Log into your teacher account! Click on our Donors/Sponsors tab and select “Schools select a sponsor.”
Type in your zip code, mark the boxes on the left with a tick for the businesses you would like to send a sponsorship request to and hit send! It’s that simple! If the business is interested in sponsoring your classroom, you will receive a reply at the email address you used when you set up your teacher/parent account.

YOUR STUDENTS ARE READY TO BEGIN PLAYING BATTER UP
Students can log in from school, home, the library, or anywhere they have a PC and internet connection. There are no minimum or maximum games that a student must play, however, all students on the team should participate!
The student platform looks like this when a participant logs in.
All students should start by clicking Build on the top left to play the Build-A-Batter app. Here, students will design their baseball card which will show the players Stats and will be displayed on our website.
After they have saved their baseball card, they can then exit and return to Play batter Up.
